Chris Hairfield is entering his 10th season as the Head Boys’ Basketball at Clear Springs High School and 18th year of coaching in high school. He is from Alvin, Texas where he played basketball and graduated in 2000. He then played at the University of Texas at Arlington. After College he made a stop at Alief Taylor High School and RL Turner High School before coming to Clear Springs. Chris is entering his 15th year at Clear Springs and teaches Physics. Coach Hairfield and his wife Amber have 2 daughters, Sadie 12 and Codie 8, as well as a son, Kyler 10.
Rodney Martin is entering his 8th season as an assistant coach for the Clear Springs High School. This is his 22nd year of Coaching boys’ basketball. Coach Martin formerly worked in Pasadena for 14 years and in Grand Prairie for two prior that. He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University with a Bachelor of Science and received his graduate degree in Educational Management from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. Coach Martin is currently teaching U.S. History but has taught World Geography and AP Government here at Clear Springs. Coach Martin is a husband to Angie and father to Ryley 22, Cal 19, and Charlotte 18 months.
Dillon Cline is entering his 5th season as an assistant coach with the Chargers, and 17th year as a varsity assistant overall. He is from Iowa City, Iowa where he played on a state championship team in 2000. He then played 3 years at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Prior to coaching at Clear Springs High School, he was a varsity assistant coach for 8 years at The Woodlands Highs School, and 4 years at Iowa City West High School. Coach Cline currently works with special education at Clear Springs. Coach Cline’s has 2 daughters, Haylen, 13, and Lakeyn, 7.
